Change username

Your username is a core part of your identity in Bookmer — it directly affects the structure of any links you share.

Steps to Update Your Username

1. Click the menu icon in the top-right corner

2. Navigate to “Settings”

3. Click on your current profile name (username)

4. A popup window will appear

5. Enter a new username and confirm the change

Important Considerations

• Your username is directly linked to the URLs of your shared collections

• Once updated, all public links will reflect the new username

• The previous username becomes immediately unavailable, especially if claimed by another user

• You cannot revert back if someone else takes over your old username

• Each Bookmer user can have only one active username

• It must be unique across the platform

• Your username is included in the structure of any shared URLs (e.g., bookmer.com/username/collection-name)

Tip: Before changing your username, consider the impact on any external locations (emails, websites, or shared documents) where your old links may have been referenced.
